We really believe there’s enough food and community in the world for everyone to thrive.
We live out that belief by creating spaces that make transformation possible— where everyone can find access to good food experiences and supportive community.
We've changed our name to NourishMKE.
Founded in 1978, Friedens Food Pantries came to be known as one of the largest, most respected and longest continually operating food pantry networks in Milwaukee. Growing out of the social justice activism of the Friedens United Church of Christ, we’ve grown into more than just a food pantry, we’re a beautiful variety of people growing deeper together in community.
Today, we are Milwaukee’s largest network of community food centers, where neighbors can select and prepare free, quality food with dignity, while sharing relationships and experiences that support wellness in all areas of life. We operate across four locations and a home delivery program, transcending the limits of traditional food pantry models.
